I founded How to Eat because I know how it feels to confused and overwhelmed by nutrition. I once had uncontrollable cravings and gnarly digestive symptoms that led to severe acne, low mood & energy 24/7, and a feeling of deep, blanketed despair that eating would be an all-consuming thorn in my side for the rest of my life.
I had tried countless things: counting macros, restricting meals, veganism, intuitive eating, dietary purism (no artificial ingredients/preservatives/chemicals)... but nothing stuck.
I was a wealth of information about all diets and foods, but I quickly learned 2 important lessons:
Nutrition is layered. There is no one fix that will heal your symptoms & relationship with food. You need multiple lenses to find the right way of eating for you.
You can have all the knowledge in the world.. but unless you know how to LISTEN to your body & honor its bio-individuality, you'll be following ways of eating that don't work for you...forever.
So I set off on a mission to establish deep connection with my body and create a system of listening to & heeding its wisdom and signals.
Since then, I've gone from feeling completely confused & defeated by nutrition to having the knowledge & tools I need to take back my power & autonomy of my body & what I put in it.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of coaching dozens of women in their nutrition & health journeys. I found that they struggled with many of the same problems I had years ago.
So, I put together a program to teach my signature methodology that has allowed me to get rid of digestive symptoms & bloat, feel energized & bright, shed stubborn body fat, all the while using a system of honoring my individual needs. That is how "Hot to Eat" was born.
